Powermatic 1150 15 Variable Speed Drill Press
Powermatic 1150 – 15 variable speed drill press. 6 of quill travel and tilting table with positive stops at 45 and 90 degrees. Includes drill press vise as pictured. Motor is 115 volts, 3/4 horse power, 1725 RPM, continuous duty cycle and 10.8 full load amps. Drill press has been rebuilt with new high quality Timken bearings – not cheap import bearings. Wiring has been replaced with a new cord and plug. The main casting and motor are properly grounded. Variable speed mechanism has been serviced and operates as it should. Jacobs chuck has also been rebuilt and has new jaws installed. The chuck is a Jacobs 633C – J33 taper with a locking collar so drum sanders and things that apply light radial loads can be used without worrying about the drill chuck disconnecting from the spindle taper. Drill chuck capacity is 0-1/2. This is a quality piece of equipment and is ready to work. Adam Savage from MythBusters uses the same model drill press in his shop and can been seen on his YouTube channel. Stands 72 tall with the headstock all the way up, headstock can be lowered on the column. This is heavy – approximately 275lbs.
