Metal Engine Lathe, 11X26 Delta Rockwell variable Speed With taper Attachment
I have used this lathe for 5-6 years in my Gunsmith Shop. Short list of updates. 2 HP 3 phase Motor, control overloads changed for larger motor. Back Gears had broken teeth, I found one of the last set of replacement straight cut gears an engineer had made. The straight cut is the same as the regular drive gearset so it is not prone to breaking like the helix gears can see the machined old gear in the headstock photo. While the head was off all bushings were replaced, shafts polished, new brake mechanism and of course a belt set, support bearings were cleaned and inspected and adjusted. The Brass idlers in the gearbox were both worn out and I replaced them both with a new set as well as the shaft bushings and Leadscrew bushings. Everything on the lathe works, has 2 chucks (shars) on LOO backing plates and I believe there is another backing plate for the lathe but don’t have it in my hand right now so not promising it but its yours if I find it, I also have a single phase 1HP motor you can have if you don’t have 3 phase power but you will loose reversing function. Lathe is hooked up and running so you can test it out before taking to make sure it is everything i have said it is.
