This is a modified grob 4v-18 band saw. The variable speed pulley has been removed from the motor and replaced with a specially machined fixed diameter 5 pulley. The original mechanical varispeed adjustment crank now serves as a belt tension adjuster. An oversize 5hp variable frequency AC drive has been installed to both allow variable speed control of the factory 3hp motor (In addition to the 4 speed factory gearbox) AND use with single phase 220v power.
